In the heart of old Washington, D.C.

By Tallulah | March 3, 2008

1714 Massachusetts Avenue sits in a prime area off of Dupont Circle close to Embassy Row. This architecturally significant block, originally built in 1890, features many grand turn of the century residences which are now occupied as embassies, cultural institutions, foundations, associations and private residences such as 1714. This prime location is convenient to downtown Washington, Georgetown, the White House, Kennedy Center, Smithsonian museums and offers easy access to Reagan National and Dulles International airports.

The first floor features grand public rooms perfect for large scale entertaining including double formal parlors, embassy sized dining room and wood paneling that can accommodate gatherings of all sizes. The second through fourth floors feature the family living quarters which include the family kitchen, family living room and 5 plus bedrooms and 5 full and 1 half baths. This is much more my style than the ski lodge below.
